Worn Again | Virgin Atlantic Seats Turned Into Bags

Its amazing the number of useful things people are creating from things normally tossed into the garbage.  In the past I have seen mostly smaller companies taking part in sort of effort to reduce their footprint, which is great, but the real impact occurs when larger entities are involved in recycling.  The larger companies environmental practices can make a huge impact on our planet.  Virgin Atlantic has joined the recycling effort.  They have partnered with Worn Again to make handbags and accessories from the old cloth from Virgin’s airline seats.   Following these initiatives, Virgin Atlantic estimates that it can reduce the amount of waste it puts into landfills by 50%.  Each bag includes an ingredient label which includes the Virgin Atlantic seat cloth, used seatbelts, and rubber from old tires.   Big brands are starting to realize this is a win-win from both an environmental and public relations perspective.   Recycling keeps garbage out of the landfills and companies win by building a positive connection with consumers.  Virgin-WA-Collection Worn Again | Virgin Atlantic Seats Turned Into Bags
