Want to know how it feels to sleep flat in a 747 but can’t afford the first class ticket? Now anyone can afford to sleep in a jumbo 747. Jumbo Hostels of Sweden bought an old 747 from a bankrupt airline, converted it into a hotel, and parked it at the Arlanda airport. Jumbo Hostels founder Oscar Dios bought the plane, formerly used by defunct airline Transjet, and then gutted the whole thing in order to turn it into a hostel. The plane has a total of 25 rooms and 86 beds. The plane is setup with three beds in each room and guests share common bathrooms with shower and toilet. Visitors who do not want to stay overnight on the plane can still take a tour. The plane also has a cafe on board where visitors can sip coffee and eat snacks while admiring the view from the left wing.
