Countertops made from recycled bottles

With recent news of granite countertops emitting radiation, I searched for some green alternatives for your kitchen, bathroom, and business.  I found a very interesting product made right in my neck of the woods.  BottleStone, a San Francisco Bay Area based company, makes beautiful countertops made from 80% recycled glass and 20% cement and ceramic.  The resulting countertop feels like other stones, is resilient to most abuse, and is great for the environment.  The companies testing indicates a one inch thick BottleStone countertop is as strong as a two and a half inch cement countertop.   It comes in four colors but can be glazed, waxed, or stained in a color of your liking.    BottleStone has been targeting the right audience.  The famous Flea Street Cafe, owned by green advocate Jessie Cool, is among their clients.
